Vote for the Earth Institute in the eBay Fundraising Tournament for the Environment

Do you share our belief that the world has the know-how and resources to solve our environmental challenges in a sustainable manner? Do you support efforts by the scientific community to help understand the effects of climate change, reduce environmental degradation, and advance renewable energy technologies? Then please vote for the Earth Institute in the eBay Fundraising Tournament for the Environment!

The eBay Fundraising Tournament for the Environment is meant to raise awareness and garner support for environment-focused organizations in areas including climate change, conservation, recycling, renewable energy and pollution. Earth Institute scientists and experts are hard at work in our centers and programs finding cutting-edge solutions in these and other crucial areas. We’re mobilizing the resources of Columbia University to investigate strategies like carbon capture and sequestration and climate adaptation and also promoting ecosystem conservation.

eBay has seeded the tournament with $50,000, and that total will grow significantly during the next two months as donations from supporters magnify the prize pool total. We need your votes to earn a spot as one of the 30 organizations who will be able to share the prize. Go to HumanityCalls.org now to cast your vote for the Earth Institute as your favorite organization working on environmental issues. Once you’ve voted you can earn more votes (which you can in turn allocate to us!) by referring your friends to vote or donating to the Earth Institute or the larger tournament!
