Kick Off the Holiday: It’s Giving Tuesday

On Dec. 3, kick off the holiday giving season by supporting the Earth Institute on the second annual #GivingTuesday. Giving Tuesday is an initiative of the UN Foundation and the 92nd Street Y that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday and unites the global giving community in a day of giving back. On this national day of giving, we hope you’ll consider supporting your favorite Earth Institute programs and help provide the tools and resources our scientists, researchers and students need to continue to create solutions to the complex problems our Earth faces. Your Giving Tuesday contribution will support research and outreach across our areas of focus: water; climate and society; energy; urbanization; hazards and risk reduction; global health; poverty; food, ecology and nutrition.Click here to find out more about Giving Tuesday and the Earth Institute.

If you have any questions about how you can participate in Giving Tuesday, please contact support@ei.columbia.edu.

AGU25, the premier Earth and space science conference, takes place December 15-19, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana. This year’s theme—Where Science Connects Us—puts in focus how science depends on connection, from the lab to the field to the ballot box. Once again, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and Columbia Climate School scientists, experts, students, and educators are playing an active role, sharing our research and helping shape the future of our planet. #AGU25 Learn More
