Farah Hegazi is a research assistant at CIESIN. Her current research focuses on the national security implications of natural resource scarcity, including water, food, energy, and non-fuel minerals. Prior to joining CIESIN, she was an intern at the Environmental Law Institute, where she conducted research on how to integrate natural resources into peacebuilding programs. She holds a M.E.M. from the Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University, with a focus on environmental security.
