Amid a Fossil Bonanza, Drilling Deep into Pre-Dinosaurian Rocks
On a high ridge in Arizona’s Petrified Forest National Park, paleontologist Paul Olsen sits on the fallen trunk of a 215-million-year-old tree, now turned to stone.
