Now Accepting Applications for Spring 2013 Sustainability Management Curriculum Grading Assistants

Columbia University’s School of Continuing Education and the Earth Institute are seeking Curriculum and Grading Assistants (CGAs) for a number of Sustainability Management courses for the spring 2013 semester. CGAs are responsible for attending class sessions, holding weekly office hours for students, addressing student inquiries, reviewing course material with the instructor, and assisting in the grading of problem sets and examinations. The compensation for each CGA position is $5,000.

Applicants should be enrolled in a graduate program at Columbia University for spring 2013 and have a strong knowledge of, and an interest in, the topics being studied in the course for which they apply to serve as a CGA. Applicants who are currently employed by Columbia University, including as paid interns, are ineligible for this position.

The Master of Science in Sustainability Management (MSSM) program, co-sponsored by the Earth Institute and Columbia’s School of Continuing Education, trains students to tackle complex and pressing environmental and managerial challenges. The M.S. in Sustainability Management program requires the successful completion of 36 credit points. Those credit points are divided among five comprehensive content areas: integrative sustainability management, economics and quantitative analysis, the physical dimensions of sustainability, the public policy environment of sustainability management, and general and financial management.
