Part-Time Summer Internship in the Undergraduate Program

The Earth Institute is offering a part-time internship in the Undergraduate Program in Sustainable Development for this summer. The application deadline is June 27.

Job description:  The Undergraduate Program in Sustainable Development is looking for a part-time intern for the summer semester to assist with program administration. The program, which consists of a major and a special concentration, benefits from the pioneering work of Earth Institute faculty and researchers in the field of sustainable development. We currently have over 100 students in the program and are looking for someone to help with writing, editing, research, data analysis and event planning. This position is a unique opportunity to help support our cutting-edge educational program at Columbia University. The program seeks an intern to work with a dynamic team on various tasks, including but not limited to: writing stories on events, researching current events and news in the field of sustainable development, copy-editing documents, preparing materials for meetings, analyzing program data and assisting with event set-up.

Skills required: Strong writing, editing and communications skills; strong Microsoft Office Suite skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments; experience with Twitter, Facebook and blogging as well as other social media is a plus; must have highly professional email and telephone conduct

Type of student desired: Undergraduate. Note that students in the Undergraduate Program in Sustainable Development are ineligible.

Compensation: $15/hour, 15-20 hours a week
