Sachs: ‘US Remains Trapped and Paralyzed on Climate Change’

No comments on Sachs: ‘US Remains Trapped and Paralyzed on Climate Change’

On Tuesday, Jeffrey Sachs did a skype press conference (video below) with a hundred or so international journalists that were attending a three-day conference on climate change in Brussels organized by the European Journalism Centre. The discussion centered on the inaction and inability of the US to enact any meaningful climate legislation with future prospects growing dim with a likely changing of the guard in Congress after next week’s midterm elections. Sachs goes on to outline the global reality and how all eyes are resting on China and what it’s position on climate will shape to be. He lauds efforts by European countries and specific energy plans like the one Denmark has proposed as models by which nations should follow.
