Internship Opportunity: Assist With Outreach for the All Ivy Career Fair

The Earth Institute is seeking three interns to support its Professional Development program and assist with outreach for the first-ever virtual All Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Career Fair. The fair will take place on February 5, 2021; each year it brings together roughly 75 recruiters that are hiring for full/part time jobs and internships with over 1,000 Ivy League students. We are looking for highly motivated, professional interns to: assist with outreach and follow up to organizations, and post jobs to the Earth Institute Job List. The ideal interns will have experience in marketing, sales or advertising and will bring creativity, energy and enthusiasm to the task of getting incredible organizations to participate in the 2021 Career Fair.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to: cold-calling organizations to invite them to the career fair; managing email follow-up to organizations; maintaining an up-to-date spreadsheet of contacts, outreach and follow up steps; helping to prepare materials for and set up the virtual networking sessions for the career fair; searching for/posting sustainability jobs online. Other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

Applicants should be highly motivated, detail-oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will be personable, pro-active and able to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and precise. A background in marketing, sales, or advertising is preferred, but not required. Advanced Excel skills desirable.

Type of Student Desired:  Undergraduate or graduate

Compensation:

$16/hour, 10-15 hours/week. Position to start in early September and continue through March 2021. This position will take place remotely.
