In Honduras, researchers are using interactive games to design insurance that protects farmers during drought. And their bottom-up approach seems to be catching on; it’s being taken up by public and private institutions, and a local insurance company is using it to develop a commercial product. Using multimedia and infographics, a new story from Columbia’s International Research Institute for Climate and Society puts the technical process into the context of its real-world impact.
