The International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI) in partnership with the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) and the Mailman School for Public Health recently hosted the Summer Institute on Climate Information for Public Health. The two week course brought together ten public health practitioners from around the world to learn about the role climate plays in public health. Participants learned about tools for accessing climate and epidemiological data and how to use them to improve the decision making process in public health. At the end of two weeks, participants produced posters of their work and shared them with researchers at IRI and CIESIN.
