Jean-Cristophe Amado is a risk manager at Acclimatise North America. He says climate services can’t just be about providing data; they need to focus on building trust with user communities. In order to engage private-sector users, for example, Amado says the issues need to be framed in terms of business risks and not climate risks. This will require an understanding of what the business case is for them to change their practices, and translating that into a risk assessment.
