A Year of Progress Toward a Sustainable Earth

The Earth Institute’s annual donor report is now available in an interactive digital format at http://www.earth.columbia.edu/donor2010/. Visit this link for the standard PDF version.

We remain committed to finding extraordinary solutions to unprecedented world challenges, and this report highlights some of our innovative projects in research, policy and education, and the partnerships that are helping to support them.

The past year has been dynamic and rewarding for the Earth Institute in many ways. We helped launch a new graduate program in sustainability management and a new undergraduate major in sustainable development, participated in the inauguration of a new global center in India to build on our work in South Asia, studied how climate in Africa and elsewhere affects the spread of diseases like meningitis and malaria, addressed extreme poverty and natural hazards in Haiti, and so much more.

We extend our profound gratitude to all of the donors, students, faculty, staff and others who continue to help make our planet a more sustainable place.

To request a printed copy of the report, or provide feedback, please email us at support@ei.columbia.edu or call (212) 854-7878.

We hope you enjoy!
